The location of this project was anything but accidental. At Speight Built, we understand that a truly exceptional home begins with an exceptional site. We meticulously scouted the Raleigh market for a location that could effortlessly bridge the gap between dynamic urban energy and the quiet dignity of an established neighborhood. We found our answer on Whitaker Mill Road.

This unique stretch of road places you at the epicenter of Raleigh’s most desirable growth. Situated just moments from the thriving Five Points and Mordecai districts, it offers immediate access to the city’s finest dining, local shops, and cultural destinations. It is a place where you are connected to the heartbeat of the city, yet removed enough to find a genuine sense of retreat.

Named for its emphasis on sheltered outdoor living, The Loggia offers a more intimate take on luxury within The Whitaker Collective. Thoughtful proportions, layered textures, and curated materials create a home that feels elevated, comfortable, and highly functional. With large windows, connected entertaining spaces, and private retreats, The Loggia is designed for modern Raleigh living close to downtown, dining, and neighborhood charm while still offering a sense of privacy and ease.

A pivotal element of our design philosophy was to resolve the common tension between urban density and personal green space. By utilizing generous, deliberate front setbacks, we transformed the traditional concept of an urban front yard. Rather than a mere buffer from the street, these spaces are designed to be functional and inviting—true extensions of the home.

Crucially, this deliberate planning did not come at the expense of privacy. This intentional front setback strategy allowed us to preserve substantial space for dedicated, pool-ready backyards—a true rarity inside the beltline in high-demand urban areas. We have successfully delivered a new model of living: a classic, spacious home experience, complete with a proper backyard for relaxation and play, all while retaining all the benefits of an urban location.
